Abstracts for oral presentations (15 min) can be submitted in the following sessions:
Session 2: Insecticide resistance, operational consequences and options for management
Distribution and risks factors associated with resistance’s selection
Genetic basis of resistance ( mechanisms causing resistance phenotypes)
Innovative tools for resistance detection in mosquitoes
Entomological / epidemiological data measuring the impact of resistance on vector control
Data modelling to predict of the emergence & spread of vector resistance
Insecticide Resistance Database & Management system (IRM)
Session 3: New technologies and strategies for the control of invasive or insecticide-resistant vectors
Integrated Vector Management (IVM) : success & challenges
Developing new methods and approaches for managing vector resistance
Entomological / epidemiological evidence of new vector control tools for controlling arboviral diseases (chemicals, biological, genetic methods, etc.)
Social and cultural dimensions in links with vector control & insecticide resistance
Session 4: Public / Private initiatives to foster innovation in public health
New insights into the development of innovative vector control tools (chemicals, traps, repellent, insecticide treated material, biotechnologies etc.) to mitigate the transmission of arboviral diseases (for Industry only, please visit the "Sponsorship" page)
Any initiatives intended to counteract insecticide resistance and accelerate the evaluation and deployment of new vector control tools
Abstracts for posters should be submitted according to the scientific topics mentioned above.
Abstracts selected for poster presentation will be displayed during the 3 days conference and accessible during the coffee-breaks.
Please note that posters size should not exceed 1.18 meter (3.9 feet) high by 0.84 meter (2.8 feet) wide (A0 format).
Abstract submission will open on
June 20th and will close on August 31th 2018.
Submit an abstract
All abstracts should be submitted online in English language and should not exceed 400 words (excluding authors and affiliations).
Only accepted abstracts will be printed in the conference book.
Reviewing and selection process
